Welcome to The Huddle: No BS Business Club -
where business meets real life.
What’s this all about then?
We come together (Huddle) to do creative workshops and network with other like-minded female business owners.
This isn't just another “networking” group.
It's a place where real life collides with business ambition, parenting, caring, mid-life struggles, neurodivergent brains and all the other sh!t we saddle as women.
We’re creating something special.
I don’t know about you…
But the more people I speak to about business, the more it becomes apparent that something is missing in the local business space.
Are you tired of stuffy networking events full of blokes, suits and “elevator” pitches? Yeah, me too.
Afternoon tea is nice, but is that all “women in business” events can come up with?
Sick of seeing the same four walls all the time and would like to meet nice, down-to-earth business owners but scared to “venture out” in case it’s crap/a waste of time/awkward? (or all three - ugh shudder!)
And that “self-care” or being creative that is important to you slips down the to-do list oh too often. In fact, you’ve stopped trying to do it.
A space where...
You can admit you have no clue what you're doing sometimes (and that's totally okay)
Talk about your kid's (or your) meltdown with knowing smiles, not raised eyebrows
Share the struggles of trying to run and grow a business whilst being everything to everyone and “not having it all”
It’s not just a moan fest - it’s a space to come together and leave feeling positive and supported
Spend some time doing something fun with like-minded women AND talk about business, and put it down as an expense! (your employed mates/family/other half don’t get it, do they?)
It happens during the day (10-3pm) because kids, energy levels, and life mean that 8am or 8pm doesn’t work for you
If you’ve resonated with any of this, The Huddle is the place for you. Read on and see what we are all about.

We're a space that resonates with:
Women juggling business and life - the full mental load
Wrangling/parenting small (or big) kids and trying not to f*ck them up in the process
Navigating mid-life gems like menopause or other conditions
Have (or live with) neurodivergent brains - wow, that’s a ride, isn’t it?
Folks who find traditional business advice... lacking, boring, confusing, overwhelming or neurotypical focused
Supporting other female business owners (and via the “fun element” too)
Anyone who's ever thought, "There's got to be a better way to meet people like me" and have fun in the process
Supporting local good causes as a group
But hey, if you vibe with our mission, you're welcome here - regardless of how many “boxes” you tick. We don’t really like box ticking, do we…
-
People are invited to come along, not in an exclusive w*nky way - but in a right vibe way. It won’t be “openly advertised” on Eventbrite etc
Meet-ups that blend a laid-back business focus with fun activities (you’ll input into what you fancy doing)
Pre-meet up introductions so that all the awkward small talk is easier (nothing heavy, don’t panic!) and helpful info like where to park etc.
Casual business advice from Becky Stevenson and the group (only if you want it - no pressure!)
A chance to connect with supportive people who get it
A laid-back space to share wins, woes, and a cuppa
-
A place for high-pressure sales pitches (no thanks). If someone needs your thing, they’ll ask. We can share our “stuff” in a non-pressure pushy way.
A space where you have to pretend everything's perfect (we're all about real talk)
A networking event where you collect business cards but never real connections
Another boring meeting to add to your calendar and dread
A cutthroat competitive environment where only the loudest voices are heard
An exclusive club that requires a fancy title or that six-figure income to join
A rigid structure that doesn't bend to real life (because life happens, right?)
A place to cajole loads of free advice (and not give back) - no icky vibes, thanks.
We respect every profession and will pay for a service if we need help.

Real Connection: Build genuine relationships with people who understand unique challenges. No fake smiles or shallow small talk here!
Business Growth, Your Way: Get tailored advice that actually works for your life and business. We're all about practical solutions, not cookie-cutter strategies. Need business advice? Got it. Just want to vent? We're here for that, too. You decide what you need when you need it.
Stress-Free Safe Space: Leave the pressure at the door. This is a judgement-free space to be yourself, quirks and all.
Time Well Spent: Each session blends a business focus with fun activities. You'll leave feeling refreshed AND with actionable ideas. Win-win! We will support local businesses in the process too and you’ll input into the list!
Blow that bloody trumpet: Surround yourself with cheerleaders who'll remind you how awesome you are (especially on those days when you forget).
Creativity Unleashed: Our unique activities will help you tap into your creative side and spark fresh ideas for your business. Plus, it’s classed as a business expense - it IS networking, after all 😉
Lasting Friendships: Form bonds that go beyond business. These connections might just become your new support system (or not - no pressure on this!).
Personal Growth: As your business evolves, so will you. We're here to support your entire professional and personal journey, however squiggly it is.
Ready to join a group that will support you, understand you, and cheer you on?
Let's rebel against “business as usual” and create something amazing together.

Info for Workshop Hosts
-
We collaborate with local female business owners to host a creative workshop as part of our meet-ups' “fun activity" element.
If you gel with our vibe, then we’d love to hear from you.
-
To be fair we are pretty open to ideas.
As long as
-it’s crafty (hands on) / interesting
-suitable for absolute beginners
-can be completed within 2 hours
-and you provide all the material and tuition
Then it’ll work!
A cuppa and cake are always included where possible or at least cold drinks.
Past workshops have included pot painting, felt art, fused glass to name a few. Get in touch with your idea -
Monday to Friday. Dates are selected a few months ahead.
During school hours. Typically 10am to 12 noon -
We don’t have premises, so either at yours if you have them, or we can find a mutually suitable location and split the hire costs.
Most people are located in North Sheffield - around S36/S35 and surrounding areas.
We ensure that there is parking close by and the buildings are accessible. -
You set the cost for your workshop -either a set price or per head (whatever is best for you).
Once we’ve set a date, I will advertise it and organise everything in terms of people signing up etc.,
We can set minimum & maximum numbers and a cut off date. If there isn’t enough interest, it won’t go ahead.
You will then invoice me for the workshop and I will pay you directly.
I will need an invoice from you for my accounting purposes.
-
Of course! If you like the sound of the Huddle and want to be part of it, then we'd love to add you to our email list and you would be most welcome.
There is no pressure, no hard sell and all "as and when" you can make it.
If you know of any businesses that sound like the people mentioned in the attachment, please pass on my details to them, and we can chat.
