About
The Lincolnshire Sleep Hub is a project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, helping the people of Lincolnshire to sleep well.
Working in and with the local communities and professionals in the area, they focus on wellbeing using nature, sound, evidence-based support and CPD-accredited training.
The Lincolnshire Sleep Hub is a part of The Sleep Charity, which is one of the leading, independent expert voices on sleep issues in the UK. They offer advice, education, support for children, teenagers, adults, workplaces or professionals and provide expert knowledge, resources and accredited training.
Solution
The Lincolnshire Sleep Hub's goal was to establish a streamlined and automated communication flow for their Sleep Talker Training.
This included automation sequences for course communications, subscriber forms, contact list management, and general newsletter distribution.
The system should be cost-effective (ideally free), user-friendly, and scalable.
We began the project with "Discovery, Audit & Planning", and then I went on to implement my recommendation of Mailierlite and complete the following work:
Set up Mailerlite with the team (including branding, new fields, advice on authentication, etc.)
One "newsletter" template email (to duplicate from)
Created a newsletter sign-up form to embed on the website
A welcome automaton & email for the above sign-up form
Sleep Talker Training Application Form to embed on the website
Online Course Automation (6 emails with various triggers/conditions)
In-person Course Automation (6 emails with various triggers/conditions)
Provided a comprehensive training manual with videos, including flow charts
Follow up sos calls/email support
Results
Saved approximately 16 hours per month (roughly a part-time job)
The team now has a semi-automated and streamlined process that is scalable and duplicable for any future projects or additions to the team’s work.
The bespoke training manuals give step-by-step instructions on how to create automations, forms, etc, so they can do it for themselves in future.
Time spent now: Approximately an hour a week.
Time spent previously: Up to one 1 day per week. It was a completely manual process between spreadsheets & a bespoke CRM. Reliant on an individual to do every step.
